ALTERNATING THURSDAYS - (CHRONICLES OF) YARNIA

Yarnia is back! Rotating Thursdays at 6pm. A knitting, crocheting, and yarn club for all skill levels. BYOH/N (Bring Your Own Hooks/Needles), we have tons of yarn!

BUPL SEEKS BINGO VOLUNTEERS

The Bonnechere Union Public Library is seeking dedicated volunteers to help with our fundraising program. Tasks include getting oneself to and from the Pembroke Bingo Hall, clearing tables and general cleanup, and representing BUPL. BUPL can participate twice each month but frequency for our volunteers depends on their availability and the number of volunteers we have. Volunteer training is mandatory and will be provided. Proceeds from each Bingo evening are distributed to the not-for-profit organizations represented.

Should you be interested in participating and supporting your local library, please contact the library at 613-628-2400. This provides an important part of our fundraising revenue and you would be making a significant contribution to BUPL!

ADULT CRAFT: GARDEN MARKERS- WEDNESDAY MAY 15TH @ 2PM

Register for this fun, adult-only craft. We're creating garden markers out of wooden spoons! Please call and register by Friday May 10th.

PA DAY FILM: MARY POPPINS RETURNS - FRIDAY MAY 17TH @ NOON

Come in your PJs, sit back, eat popcorn and watch the newest Mary Poppins film! Free and open to everyone.

TD SUMMER READING CLUB: GET YOUR READ ON! JUNE 6TH @ 5:30 PM

On June 6th at 5:30pm, come visit BUPL the Beaver at the EDPS Fun Fair and register for TD Summer Reading Club! Can't make it? No problem! Call, email, Facebook, or stop-in at BUPL (Bonnechere Union Public Library) to register your child(ren) anytime before July 1st! This free, inclusive summer club encourages continuous reading throughout the summer months while incorporating fun activities and crafts. NEW! SOMETHING SKETCHY: ART CLUB! ROTATING SATURDAYS FROM 1-3 PM

BUPL now offers an inclusive club to create! On rotating Saturdays, come on in to the Maker Space to continue, begin or finish a project or piece. Bring your own materials, or use what we've got in store. The first club starts on Saturday June 8th from 1-3pm. Let's get Sketchy!

PAST, PRESENT, FUTURE BOOK CLUB - JUNE 13th

Book Club is discussing a Present book: Ordeal by Innocence by Agatha Christie. Fun starts at 7pm! This will be our last meet before summer break, and so we can sort out our ILLO situation! Thank you for your patience and understanding.

LITTLE FREE PANTRY: DONATIONS

We're always looking for donations for the pantry. Some suggestions include: dried, packaged food such as cup of soups, tea/hot chocolate/coffee, porridge, dried fruit, cakes and granola bars. Toiletries like toothbrushes, soap and deodorant are great, too. Dried goods and things that won't freeze are great ways to fill the pantry during the winter months. Donations can be put directly into the pantry 24/7 or dropped-off inside the library during operating hours. And please remember, the pantry is accessible to everyone, 24/7.

WEDNESDAYS: PURPLE DOOR

Every Wednesday, BUPL is the satellite office for The Women's Sexual Assault Centre of Renfrew County. If you or someone you know is in need of support services, please don't hesitate to contact BUPL or Jancy Brown direct at email Jancy Brown directly.
